Christmas

I was just wondering if any of you guys wanted to go to Red Robin for dinner and then to Wheeler Farm for a hay ride and hot chocolate Mon. night the 22nd. I know it's short notice and I usually plan something bigger and way in advance, but I decided to have a stress free simple Christmas and it has worked out great. Let me know if any of you would be interested in getting together. I was thinking around 6 for dinner. Luv you guys!

Baby shower details...

We will be having Hawaiian Haystacks for lunch. I will have the rice, sauce, chicken, and chow mein noodles ready. If you guys could do the following that would be great:
Jesyka-green pepper diced and 2 medium tomatoes diced
Heidi-grated cheddar cheese and a can of pineapple chunks
Shari-a can of olives and some sort of dessert

Save the Date! We're having a baby shower!!

We're having a baby shower for Bridget and baby girl on Saturday, December 13th at 1:00. Since we are just renting a basement apartment, my place is small and nothing too exciting but as long as everyone is willing to drive out here (it really isn't that bad of a drive), we will plan on having it at my house. Please leave a comment letting me know whether or not you can come. Also, I thought it would be fun if we had lunch like we've done for other showers in the past so if you can help with food let me know. Thanks!!!

Girls night out!

So Kelly and I are proposing a girls night out. I don't know how many of you lovely ladies (besides kelly and I) check this blog, but what do you think about getting together Tuesday night (Oct. 21st) to maybe go out to eat and then walk around Gardner Village! Girls Night Out!

I tried to get a hold of everyone over the phone but since I told a few of you that I'd post the final plans for Thursday, here they are...
We are meeting at the Gateway at 5:45 PM. We will be eating dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and walking around the shops.

Bachelor/Bachelorette Party!

Hi friends! Mike and I are having a joint bachelor/bachelorette party on Saturday August 23rd. It is on the roof of the Puck in West Valley (the Puck is a sports bar). You are all invited and it is going to be a blast! It will start at 800pm and go as long as we want! We will be sending out a flier in a little bit but just wanted to give you guys a heads up. So to make a long story short, days got mixed up and we will be out of town on a family trip the weekend of Jesse's wedding :( I am soooo EXTREMELY sad to miss the Vincent's big day, so please take lots of pictures and give them both a HUGE hug for us!! (In fact, if someone takes pictures and posts them, that would be great!)
Jesse and Vanessa, we couldn't be more happy for you!!!! We wish you the best on your wedding day and always-we will be there in spirit! We want to have you two over for dinner after you get home from your honeymoon and you get past that newlywed stage where all you want to do is hang out with just each other! :) Let us know when life settles down and we will get together! Hey, we'll have a wedding gift to give you! :)

I am waiting for her to take her morning nap.......so I can take it with her. Fish Lake

Corey and I went camping this last weekend to Fish Lake (one of Corey's favorite places in the world). We spent all day Friday fishing on the lake and it was FREEZING!!! We had tons of layers on, and all I could think throughout the morning was how nice a hot tub would be, or hot chocolate, or hot anything really. It was really windy too, which didn't help, but the fishing was good. We actually caught quite a few fish. Corey fell in the lake trying to retrieve his "free" sunglasses. It was hilarious, but I did feel bad for him, the lake was about 43 degrees. We went with Corey's parents and stayed in their trailer. It was actually a lot of fun. Corey would like to go every weekend if he could.

Avie

Here are so updated photos, of Avie. Hopefully I am not driving everyone nuts, with pictures. Because I know when its not your own baby, you could care less (except with Baby Talia) I do like to see and hear how she is doing. Anyway enjoy, if anyone every looks at this!
Avie is now very fat she could and probably would squash tiny Talia!!! She is starting to roll which is exciting, but scary when she rolls onto her tummy and cant figure out how to get back. We also tried giving her solids.... which she hates. (The one with the bib on) Sad times, there goes my hopes of her sleeping through the night. Anyway I'm rambling...........

Twilight Trailer

I don't know how many of you check my blog, but I thought I would post this on our friend's blog as well. I have to say that I wasn't very thrilled when I saw who they had cast as Edward, but after watching the trailer, he actually fits pretty well in my opinion. Anyways, Enjoy!

Seattle

Mike had to go to Seattle for work so I went with just for fun. Neither of us had been there before and we absolutely loved it! The hotel we stayed in was right on the water and we had an ocean view room. It was so pretty and the view was amazing! We took a ton of pictures but I'll just post a few of them.

This is Pikes Market. The workers throw fish back and forth when people buy them and scream random things. This is Mike's 6lb salmon that he bought and the guy was throwing it up to the the other guys to pack it for us. The biggest fish they have is 34lbs!! It is pretty fun to sit and watch them throw the big fish around.

We went on a ferry to an island that was a little bit away from Seattle and these are some pictures we got from the boat. We got to the island at like 800pm and it is such a small little town that it was completely closed down for the day. Coming back into Seattle at night was so pretty.

On the last night we were there we went to the top of the Space Needle in downtown Seattle. It is like a 40 second elevator ride to the top and you can walk around the outside of it and look out over the entire city. It was freezing!!

Ok I am still getting married but we had to push the date back. We are now getting married Saturday September 13th. This date is set in stone so mark it in pen on your calendar!! Hopefully, it is far enough away that you guys can all be there!

It's true. I am getting married. Mike proposed on Friday night. We are getting married July 5th. I realize it is a holiday weekend but I expect you all to be there :) You can go camping, boating, or anywhere else some other time! Please email/text me your addresses.

Thanks for offering to babysit. Her colic is just about gone. (knock on wood) So sorry wouldnt be the best birth control method anymore..... But she is starting to get more of a personality! She giggles at her 'friends' hanging about her changing table. Yes, lets go out soon. Im practically a single mom with Gary gone ALL THE TIME!

Lake Mead Trip

Hey, I just talked to jesse and found the link to the blog, anyways Teri and I am planning a trip to Lake Mead (in Vegas) for May 4-10. We will be there all week trying to wakeboard and stuff. the crew is always welcome to come, but you may need to find a place to stay. I have 6 people coming with me all week with a few more towards the end of the week and if lots more want to come we have room for 8 or 9 on the boat and we can always rotate. If you want to come, let me know so I can plan things out, we just need whoever comes to help pitch in for gas. Well since im not good at writing novels, i will end it here, let me know who all is interested.

All I have to say is NEVER have a baby at the U. i was in labor labor for only like 2 hours but there at the hospital for 12. It literally took 9 hours to ge my epidural because they had ONE yes ONE anesteologist on call, and he was a resident........
Anyway, that is just the beginning.....

its official, i'm engaged!! crazy huh? It happened last friday. i took vanessa out to a movie that she has been wanting to see for forever and then to her favorite restaurant (market street) which also happens to be where we went on our first date. a little sidenote is that since we started dating we have been known to go to bookstores and pick out childrens story books and read them to each other just for fun. so i made my own childrens story book in dr suess poem format and then made about fifteen illustrations to go with the verses. then i had it professionally hard bound with glossy pages and what not. so after dinner last friday i suggested we go to the bookstore and read story books to each other. when we got there, she picked one out and read it to me and then i picked out the one i had made for her. the story starts when we met and brushed up on significant events that happened while we have been dating and ended with a proposal. it made her smile a lot and she said yes so i guess that means it was a success right? i included some sample pages so you could all get the idea :)
anyway, now i'm busy trying to make wedding plans and figure out honeymoon stuff and all that. i'm sure you can empathize with me that its not all that fun.
hope everyone is doing well. we are planning on june 27 but i will let you all know more details as we figure them out.
