Well, we are home and to be honest with you it almost feels weird to be back. I absolutely love Mexico and spending time with my family and since years pass before we get to see each other I already miss them!! I think Tim will get on here soon and tell you his perspective as a first time traveler out of the country. We had a great trip!!! We ate sooo much food that Tim mentioned that for the first time in his life he wouldn't mind fasting but it was all incredibly delicious! We also spent a lot of time with my family touring the city and doing fun things! We went shopping a few times-I love the little posts that are on the streets there 'cause there are always cute little things to buy, like jewelry and fun treats. We also went hiking to some gorgeous waterfalls, we went to the movies a couple times with my little cousins (get this-a movie ticket there is less than $3-one of my aunts couldn't believe it when I told her that they cost up to $9 here!), we went to some ruins, we went to the beach and the port of Veracruz, we went to a wax museum and aquarium in Veracruz, we hiked more and had picnics up in the jungly parts of Xalapa, we toured an old hacienda, all the boys in the family played soccer together which is by far there favorite sport(my dad and Tim were definitely not as experienced as the rest of the family but I think they had a good time and it was fun to watch them play), we walked around beautiful lakes, and we even had a huge birthday party for my grandma and uncle! It was tons and tons and tons of fun!! We will have to have people over for some yummy Mexican food sometime:) Here are some pictures from our trip. We took a lot and I like to show off Mexico, so bear with me...
Here we are in front of the cathedral in downtown Xalapa

Some city views

Our hike to the waterfall

One of my aunts also took us to a city called Xico. Everyone that lives there worships this certain saint and they were preparing to celebrate her bday. They decorated the street for several miles with painted saw dust which the whole town walks down on the day of the celebration. It was very interesting.

Dance party with my cousins :)

The ruins

Just outside where we walked around the ruins, there were these guys performing. They travel around the country performing. They hang off this huge pole and then "fly" down. The guy at the top is standing on nothing but a little drum that he is dancing on!

The beach

The wax museum-our celebrity shots with Brad Pitt, a famous Mexican singer named Lucero and the pope :)

The aquarium in Veracruz-there were soo many HUGE and really cool fish and animals but they would swim by so fast that I didn't get many good picts

The port of Veracruz

More walks and hikes-look how close we got to these eagles

My wonderful family

A lake we walked around and the surrounding park

Well, that turned out to be really long but we were gone for 2 weeks! There is still way more I could post and talk about, but I can't hog ALL the blog:) We hope to see everyone soon!!
